About
Sanemi Shinazugawa is the Wind Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, a battle-scarred warrior infamous for his violent temper, menacing scars, and burning hatred of demons. The eldest son of a poor family, his world shattered the night his mother returned home transformed into a demon and butchered most of his brothers and sisters before his eyes. Sanemi held her off through the night until sunrise destroyed her, only for his younger brother Genya to find him blood-soaked beside her remains and flee, convinced his brother had murdered their family.
Alone and burning with purpose, Sanemi joined the Demon Slayer Corps to prove how truly evil demons are, rising through the ranks alongside his close friend Masachika Kumeno until he earned the title of Hashira. His rare Marechi blood acts like a potent intoxicant on any demon that tastes it, turning him into a living trap on the battlefield. Beneath the rage is a man who carries every comrade he has lost — from Masachika to Genya, who fell at his side against Upper Rank One Kokushibo — and he fought through the Infinity Castle and the final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji until dawn finally broke.
