About
Gyomei Himejima is the Stone Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, a towering, blind man of deep faith who stands well over two meters tall and is widely regarded as the strongest of all the Hashira. He is never seen without his prayer beads, and he weeps openly for every life lost, human or demon alike.
Hardened by a painful past, he carries a deep sorrow beneath his calm, monk-like presence. Yet that sorrow only fuels his resolve to protect the innocent, and when the final battle comes he stands at the front, leading the surviving Hashira against the strongest demons with unmatched power and unshakable composure.
Abilities
Stone Breathing
Heavy, grounded forms built on overwhelming force. Serpentinite Bipedal and Arcs of Justice let him crush opponents with pure, immovable power.
Axe & Chain
His Nichirin weapon is a spiked flail and hatchet joined by a chain, swung with devastating reach and force that few could even lift.
Superhuman Strength
Colossal physical power and a massive frame make him the strongest swordsman in the Corps, able to wield weapons that would overwhelm anyone else.
Demon Slayer Mark
The mark appears during the final battle, pushing his already monstrous strength and stamina to even greater heights.
Heightened Senses
Though blind, he perceives his surroundings through sound and sensing, reading enemy movement with remarkable accuracy.
Transparent World
A state of perfect awareness that lets him see through his opponent's body and intent, sharpening every strike and defense.
Notable battles
In the Infinity Castle, Gyomei stood against Upper Moon One, Kokushibo, alongside Sanemi, Genya, Muichiro and Obanai, shouldering the heaviest burden of the fight with his raw power and his Mark. He then faced Muzan Kibutsuji in the final battle, standing at the center of the Corps' last stand until the dawn finally broke.
