About
Sabito was an orphan taken in and trained by the former Water Hashira Sakonji Urokodaki on Mount Sagiri, alongside Giyu Tomioka and Makomo. Sharp-tongued, proud, and fiercely competitive, he was nevertheless the warmest of Urokodaki's students — a boy who believed a swordsman's strength meant nothing unless it was used to protect others. Teacher and students alike regarded him as a once-in-a-generation talent who was certain to become a Hashira one day.
At thirteen he entered the Final Selection on Mount Fujikasane and became its true champion, slaying nearly every demon on the mountain while guarding the other participants. He never came home: the Hand Demon — a captive monster that bore a murderous grudge against Urokodaki's students — took his life on the final night. His death haunted Giyu for years, and his spirit remained on Mount Sagiri, unable to rest until a worthy student finally split the boulder that guarded Urokodaki's training ground.
Abilities
Water Breathing
Trained by the former Water Hashira Sakonji Urokodaki, he mastered every form of Water Breathing and unleashed them with devastating precision for his age.
Master Swordsmanship
A prodigy among Urokodaki's students. In the Final Selection he single-handedly cut down nearly every demon on Mount Fujikasane without sustaining a wound.
Immense Strength
Even armed only with a wooden sword, his strikes could overwhelm any trainee in single combat — his real Nichirin blade was fiercer still.
Unshakable Courage
He faced the Hand Demon — a monster that had devoured many of Urokodaki's students — without hesitation, standing between it and the other participants to the last.
Selfless Heart
He spent his short life shielding others, from his fellow students on Mount Sagiri to the strangers he died protecting. Kindness and ferocity lived side by side in him.
Total Concentration Breathing
Like all of Urokodaki's apprentices, he trained his breathing relentlessly, gaining stamina and resilience far beyond ordinary swordsmen.
Notable battles
For Sabito there was only one battle, and it defined him: the Final Selection. Armed with his Nichirin blade he cut down nearly every demon on Mount Fujikasane, shielding weaker participants as he went — until the Hand Demon struck him down at just thirteen. Even death did not end his training. As a guardian spirit on Mount Sagiri he dueled a young trainee with wooden swords, refusing to give an inch until that swordsman's blade — and resolve — finally grew strong enough to split the boulder and set his spirit free.
