About
Muzan Kibutsuji is the Demon King — the first demon to ever exist and the progenitor of every demon that followed. Born a sickly, failing human in the Heian era, he was kept alive by an experimental medicine brewed from the Blue Spider Lily, but instead of curing his frail body the treatment remade him into an immortal creature of the night. Enraged that his weakness survived, he butchered the physician who saved him and spent the next millennium fleeing the one thing that could end him: the sun.
Since that night, Muzan has ruled the demon world from the shadows, multiplying his kind by sharing his blood and elevating the strongest into the Twelve Kizuki, his hand-picked elite. Vain, ruthless and endlessly patient, he walks among humans behind a carousel of disguises — a wealthy gentleman, an elegant lady, a quiet child — discarding identities every decade while erasing every Demon Slayer, doctor and scholar who could ever threaten him. His obsession has never wavered: find the Blue Spider Lily, conquer the sunrise, and become a truly perfect, eternal being.

Demon Progenitor's Blood
His blood is both gift and curse: a single transfusion transforms a dying human into a demon, and the more of it a demon receives, the more monstrous their power becomes. The Twelve Kizuki exist only because he wills it.
Blood Demon Art: Biokinesis
Total command of every cell in his body. He reshapes his arms into serrated whips and blades, sprouts fanged mouths that devour flesh, sprays corrosive ichor, and absorbs victims whole to erase them from existence.
Shape-Shifting
He rewrites his own body at a whim — age, gender, build, face — living among humans undetected as a dapper gentleman, a mourning widow or a pale child, and discarding each identity before suspicion can gather.
Immense Speed & Strength
A millennium of slaughter has made his raw output overwhelming: he moves faster than marked Hashira can track, shatters buildings with a flick of his arm, and can hold several Pillar-class opponents at bay at once.
Near-Instant Regeneration
Decapitation, dismemberment, incineration — his cells knit back together in seconds. Only the simultaneous destruction of every cell, or the light of the sun itself, can keep him from reassembling.

A thousand years of scheming have made him a master predator of the human heart. He rules through fear, flattery and blood, reads his enemies' doubts instantly, and always keeps several escape routes prepared.
Notable battles
Muzan's clashes span a millennium of blood: he was nearly cut down by the legendary Yoriichi Tsugikuni in the Sengoku era and has feared the Sun Breathing ever since; he erased the Ubuyashiki mansion in a fireball meant to be his own funeral pyre; and in the last great night he battled the remaining Hashira, Tanjiro Kamado and a stolen antidote that turned his cells human — absorbing, regenerating, adapting — until dawn finally broke over the demon king who had outrun the sunrise for a thousand years.
