About
Pakunoda is one of the original members of the Phantom Troupe, holding the number nine among the spiders. Born in Meteor City alongside the rest of the founding Troupe, she carries herself with the kind of composed, unforced elegance that makes her stand out even among killers. She rarely raises her voice and never wastes a word, observing every interaction with a quiet, almost tender attention that comes from being able to read what others are hiding. Beneath that soft surface is one of the most unshakable spirits in the Troupe — a woman whose loyalty to Chrollo Lucilfer is absolute enough to walk knowingly into her own death if that is what the spider's head asks of her.
Abilities
Memory Reading
Her signature Specialist ability: a single touch lets her read the memories stored in any object or person, drawing out images, names, faces, and secrets the target would never willingly share.
Memory Bullets
A conjured firearm that fires memory-packed bullets — when one strikes a person, it transplants the memory Pakunoda loaded into it directly into their mind.
Psychometric Tracking
By touching objects handled by a target, she traces their movements, contacts, and intentions across hours or days — making her the Troupe's most reliable intelligence source.
Specialist Nen
Her natural Nen category gives her abilities their unique information-based properties, and her mastery of basic techniques keeps her composed and effective even in the middle of a massacre.
Notable battles
Pakunoda's defining moment comes in the Yorknew City arc, when Kurapika's Judgment Chain forbids her from speaking about Chrollo to the rest of the Troupe. Rather than betray either the chain's rules or her leader, she uses her final moments to load the truth into Memory Bullets and fire them into her comrades — dying in the act so that the spiders can learn what happened. It is the moment that defines the Troupe's bond: loyalty so absolute it walks calmly into death, and trusts the survivors with the truth she could not say.
