About
Kuzan, known as Aokiji, is a former Admiral of the Marines and one of the strongest fighters in the world. Tall and relaxed, he is famous for sleeping through meetings, wearing an eye mask on his forehead, and showing up at the most important moments exactly when he is needed.
Unlike his fellow Admirals, Aokiji follows what he calls Lazy Justice, a calm and flexible belief that avoids unnecessary cruelty. After losing the duel for the rank of Fleet Admiral he left the Marines, and he is now counted among the Blackbeard Pirates.

Ice Time
A freezing attack that traps targets in solid ice, often used to stop enemies without needing to hurt them.
Pheasant Beak
He shapes ice into the form of a great bird that flies at the opponent and freezes everything it touches.

Notable battles
Aokiji appears at key moments across the series, from the Ohara incident, where he lets young Nico Robin escape, to the war at Marineford, where he helps end the fight. His most famous battle is the ten-day duel with Akainu on Punk Hazard, which decides who becomes Fleet Admiral and leads him to leave the Marines.
