About
Silva Zoldyck is the current head of the Zoldyck family, the most feared lineage of assassins in the world of Hunter x Hunter. Born into the trade and trained from childhood by his own father Zeno, Silva inherited both the family business and its unspoken rules: every life has a price, every contract is sacred, and a Zoldyck never leaves a job unfinished. His towering frame, silver hair, and almost regal composure make him feel less like a killer and more like a king who happens to deal in death.
As a father he is distant but principled. He allows Killua the freedom to wander, befriend Gon, and taste a life outside Kukuroo Mountain — not from weakness, but from a belief that a true heir must choose the family with open eyes. When Killua returns home after the Hunter Exam, Silva personally unlocks his son's sealed room and trusts him to make his own decision. That quiet faith is one of the few cracks in his otherwise unreadable exterior.
Silva works alongside Zeno on the family's most dangerous contracts. The two of them move as a single instrument — Zeno softening the target, Silva delivering the killing blow. Their most famous operation, the assault on the Ten Dons of the Yorknew underworld, ended with Chrollo Lucilfer barely surviving and an entire building reduced to a crater of aura. To Silva, that was simply a job well done.
Abilities
Transmutation Nen
His natural Nen category, used to reshape his aura into devastating offensive forms that can crush, burn, or detonate on contact.
Sphere of Pain
Condenses a massive ball of aura in his hands and slams it into the target, leveling the surrounding area — the move he used to corner Chrollo Lucilfer.
Assassination Mastery
Decades of contract work have made him fluent in every method of killing: poison, blades, bare hands, or pure aura. He adapts to any target without hesitation.
Immense Durability
His body, hardened by lifelong training, shrugs off blows that would kill a normal Hunter, letting him walk through explosions and Nen strikes with barely a flinch.
Notable battles
Silva's most defining battle is his clash with Chrollo Lucilfer during the Yorknew City arc, where he and Zeno cornered the Phantom Troupe leader inside a sealed building — a fight that ended only because the Ten Dons' contract was annulled mid-strike. He also fought and killed a previous Phantom Troupe member years earlier, leaving a scar on Chrollo that never healed. Beyond these, every contract Silva accepts is, in effect, a battle already won: the moment his name is attached to a target, the outcome is treated as a formality by the entire underworld.
