About
Vinsmoke Sanji is the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates, born in the North Blue as the third son of Vinsmoke Judge, the ruler of the Germa Kingdom. Rejected for lacking the family’s cruel powers, he escaped and was taken in by Zeff, the owner of the floating restaurant Baratie, who taught him to cook and to never let anyone go hungry.
He joined Luffy after the fight at Baratie, driven by one dream: finding All Blue, the legendary sea where fish from every ocean meet. A gentleman who refuses to hit a woman, a chain-smoking chef and a fierce kicker, Sanji has grown into one of the crew’s strongest fighters, and remains the heart of the Thousand Sunny’s kitchen.
Abilities
Black Leg Style
A kicking-only martial art: Sanji never risks his hands, which he guards as a cook, and fights with devastating speed and precision.
Diable Jambe
Superheats his leg with friction until it burns red-hot, setting his kicks aflame; its stronger form, Ifrit Jambe, burns even hotter.
Sky Walk
Kicks the air repeatedly with explosive speed to run and fight in mid-air, giving him unmatched mobility.
Haki
Armament Haki strengthens his legs and flame kicks, while Observation Haki lets him sense attacks and read opponents.
Germa 66 Raid Suit
A Vinsmoke-engineered suit that grants superhuman strength, speed, and invisibility, from the family he left behind.
Master Chef
The Straw Hats’ cook: he feeds the crew, treats food as sacred, and searches for the legendary sea called All Blue.
Notable battles
Sanji’s fights include his duel with Mr. 2 Bon Clay in Alabasta, his Diable Jambe battle against Jabra at Enies Lobby, his escape from the Germa wedding on Whole Cake Island, and his clash with Queen in Wano, where he awakened new powers with the Raid Suit — each showing the chef is as dangerous as he is devoted.
