About
Nobunaga Hazama is one of the original members of the Phantom Troupe and the holder of the number one among the spiders. Born in Meteor City alongside the rest of the founding Troupe, he carries himself with the unmistakable discipline of an old-school warrior — a man who treats his katana the way a samurai treats his soul. He is loud, opinionated, and quick to take offense, but beneath the bluster sits a code of honor that predates the Troupe itself: loyalty to the spider's head, loyalty to his fallen friends, and a willingness to throw his life away the moment either is threatened. His friendship with Uvogin is the kind forged in blood over decades, and its loss leaves a wound that does not close.
Abilities
Iaido
The art of drawing the sword and cutting in a single motion. Nobunaga's draw is so fast that opponents rarely register the blade leaving the saya — by the time they realize he has moved, the cut is already done.
En
The advanced aura-sensing technique. He expands his aura into a defined circle around him, instantly detecting any living thing that enters — a perfect counter to ambush and a backbone of his combat awareness.
Hidden Nen Ability
Like several senior Troupe members, his true hatsu has never been fully revealed — but his mastery of Iaido suggests an Enhancement ability tied directly to the speed and lethality of his draw.
Enhancement Nen
His natural Nen category lets him push his body past normal human limits, reinforcing the speed, reflexes, and focus his sword style demands. The katana becomes a true extension of his aura.
Notable battles
Nobunaga's most defining moments come during the Yorknew City arc, where he serves as the Troupe's blade on the hunt for Kurapika — driven by grief over Uvogin's death into a focused, lethal fury. He is also a constant presence during the Troupe's clash with the Chimera Ants in Meteor City, where his En and Iaido make short work of the colony's warriors. Wherever the Troupe moves, his sword is the silent threat that keeps the rest of the room honest.
