About
Jinbe is the helmsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, a whale shark fish-man known as the Knight of the Sea. A former Warlord of the Sea and captain of the Sun Pirates, he spent his life working for peace between fish-men and humans after losing his friend Fisher Tiger, the liberator of slaves who inspired him.
After leaving the Warlords and the Big Mom Pirates, he joined Luffy’s crew as helmsman. Calm, loyal, and honorable, Jinbe is the crew’s steady hand at the wheel, with a deep sense of justice and a dream of a world where fish-men and humans live without prejudice.
