About
Portgas D. Ace, known as "Fire Fist" Ace, was the commander of the second division of the Whitebeard Pirates and the sworn older brother of Monkey D. Luffy. Growing up in the East Blue alongside Luffy and Sabo, he carried a heavy burden about his birth, and for years he wondered whether his life had any worth.
Whitebeard gave him a family and a place to belong, and Ace repaid that love with fierce loyalty. When he was captured and sentenced to death, the whole world was drawn into the Marineford War. His last words, thanking everyone who loved him, made him one of the most unforgettable characters in One Piece.
Abilities
Mera Mera no Mi
The Flame-Flame Fruit, a Logia that lets him create, control, and become fire, making him nearly untouchable by ordinary attacks.

Notable battles
Ace's pursuit of Blackbeard ended with his defeat and capture, which led to his imprisonment and the Marineford War. There, he fought beside the Whitebeard Pirates and clashed with Admiral Akainu, giving his life to shield Luffy. Earlier clashes, including his confrontations with Marine officers such as Smoker, showed his skill, but it was his final stand that made him a legend.
