About
Temari is the eldest child of the Fourth Kazekage of Sunagakure and the older sister of Gaara and Kankuro. Born into the ruling family of the Sand Village, she grew up watching her youngest brother Gaara be feared as a monster by the very village their father led — and devoted herself to protecting him long before he ever learned to protect himself. A master of the Giant Folding Fan and Wind Release, she became one of Sunagakure's most powerful jonin and one of the very few female shinobi in the series capable of defeating opponents far above her rank through pure tactical mastery. Her sharp tongue, cool head, and unmatched battlefield judgment caught the attention of Konoha's Shikamaru Nara during the Chunin Exams — a battle that would later blossom, after years of long-distance correspondence, into marriage. As the wife of the Seventh Hokage's chief advisor, Temari bridges two villages, mother to Shikadai Nara, and remains one of the most respected women in the entire shinobi world.

Her signature weapon — a massive iron war fan with three purple moons painted on it. Each moon represents a level of opening, and each opening unleashes a stronger blast of cutting wind.

Summoning: Kamatari
Her personal summon — a one-eyed sickle-weasel named Kamatari that rides the wind she generates and slices entire landscapes to ribbons in a single combo attack.
Great Sickle Weasel Technique
Combines her fan with Kamatari in her ultimate technique — the pair spin across the battlefield in a tornado of wind, leaving nothing behind but a flattened, sliced wasteland.
Notable battles
Temari's defining fights span the entire series. During the Chunin Exams she crushed Tenten so completely that the match ended without Tenten landing a single blow — Temari simply blew every weapon back at her and won without taking a step. In the tournament finals she faced Shikamaru Nara in a battle of minds that became one of the most celebrated tactical duels in the series — Shikamaru out-thought her and trapped her with Shadow Possession, only to surrender himself because he had run out of chakra. During the Sasuke Retrieval Arc she arrived at the last moment to save Shikamaru from Tayuya of the Sound Four, defeating the genjutsu specialist with a single swing of her fan. In the Fourth Great Ninja War she commanded the Allied Shinobi Forces' Fourth Division alongside Gaara and the reanimated Mu, fought the legendary Third Raikage, and stood against Madara Uchiha himself alongside her fellow Kage-level shinobi.
