Minato Namikaze was the Fourth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village — the fastest shinobi in history, whose Flying Thunder God jutsu earned him the legendary title of Konoha's Yellow Flash and an enemy flee-on-sight order during the Third Great Ninja War. A prodigy trained under Jiraiya, he created the Rasengan from scratch by studying the Tailed Beast Bomb, married Kushina Uzumaki to anchor the Nine-Tails' jinchuriki seal, and gave his life the very night his son Naruto was born — sealing half the Nine-Tails into the infant to protect the village from Obito Uchiha's attack. Reanimated in the Fourth Great Ninja War, he returned as a Nine-Tails chakra mode user himself, fighting alongside the son he had never lived to raise.

The Second Hokage's space-time jutsu, perfected by Minato — instantly teleporting to any of his kunai markers scattered across the battlefield, making him practically untrackable in combat.
Rasengan
His own creation — a sphere of pure chakra spinning in his palm with no hand signs needed, derived from years of studying the Tailed Beast Bomb. The signature technique later passed down to his son Naruto.
Reaper Death Seal
The forbidden Uzumaki clan technique he used on the Nine-Tails, summoning the Shinigami to seal half its chakra inside himself and the other half inside his newborn son — at the cost of his own life.
Nine-Tails Chakra Mode
After his death, Minato sealed the Yin half of the Nine-Tails within himself, and when reanimated in the Fourth War, manifested the same golden chakra cloak as Naruto to fight alongside him.

During the Third Great Ninja War, his Flying Thunder God wiped out entire enemy squads in seconds, including the famous bridge duel where he single-handedly turned the tide against Iwagakure — earning him the flee-on-sight order that no other shinobi ever matched. The night of the Nine-Tails' Attack, he defeated a masked Obito Uchiha in a duel of teleportation, then used the Reaper Death Seal to split Kurama's chakra and sealed it into the newborn Naruto, dying alongside Kushina. Reanimated years later in the Fourth Great Ninja War, he stood beside the grown son he had never met as the Yellow Flash once more, ultimately giving half his own Nine-Tails chakra to save Naruto's life.
