About
Might Guy is a jonin of the Hidden Leaf Village and the eternal rival of Kakashi Hatake — a title they have shared since childhood, with Guy recording every competition in a tiny notebook. Born with almost no talent for ninjutsu or genjutsu, he dedicated his entire life to taijutsu, training to the point where he could rival — and at his peak, briefly surpass — the strongest shinobi in history. He became the sensei of Team Guy, mentored Rock Lee into his own image, and in the Fourth Great Ninja War opened all Eight Inner Gates against Madara Uchiha, delivering the single most devastating kick of the entire series — the legendary Night Guy.
Abilities
Eight Inner Gates
The forbidden technique of unlocking the body's eight chakra limiters one by one, multiplying speed and strength many times over — at the cost of tearing muscles, breaking bones, and at the eighth gate, certain death.
Asakujaku (Daytime Peacock)
Opens the Sixth Gate and punches the air so fast that friction ignites his chakra into countless flame punches trailing like a peacock's tail.
Hirudora (Daytime Tiger)
Opens the Seventh Gate and compresses the surrounding air into a massive exploding tiger-shaped shockwave — a punch that flattens an entire island and the shark-form Kisame in one blast.
Night Guy
The Eighth Gate's final technique — Guy bends space-time itself with raw speed, wrapping himself in a red chakra dragon and delivering a kick so powerful it nearly killed the ten-tails jinchuriki Madara Uchiha.
Notable battles
Guy's defining clash came during the Fourth Great Ninja War, when he opened all Eight Inner Gates against Madara Uchiha — the only person in the entire series Madara acknowledged as the strongest taijutsu user he had ever faced. His earlier duel against the shark-sword master Kisame Hoshigaki is the second great highlight, where the Seventh Gate's Hirudora ended their long rivalry. Throughout the series, his endless rivalry duels with Kakashi — from rock-paper-scissors to foot races — gave the village a comic soul that masked the sheer weight of his actual combat power.
