Franklin Bordeau is member number 8 of the Phantom Troupe, the criminal syndicate born in Meteor City that the world's underworld fears more than any government. He is, by far, the largest member of the Troupe — a hulking, scar-covered figure with a face stitched and reshaped into something almost monstrous. Behind that exterior is one of the most level-headed members of the group: calm in crisis, professional in violence, and quietly thoughtful about the Troupe's decisions even when others are losing their composure.
Franklin's defining trait is his absolute commitment to the Troupe as a family. Like the other founding members from Meteor City, he was an outcast from birth, abandoned by a world that did not want him. Chrollo Lucilfer and the original Troupe gave him a place, a purpose, and a name to belong to. In return, Franklin gives them loyalty that does not bend — not under money, not under threat, and not under the moral weight of the murders he commits. To him, killing for the Troupe is not cruelty; it is paying back the only home he has ever known.
In combat, Franklin is the Troupe's heavy artillery. His body has been surgically modified — his fingertips replaced with gun-barrel-like openings — so that he can fire countless Nen bullets from both hands in sustained barrages. He rarely needs to use more than a fraction of this output against ordinary targets. When he does open fire fully, the result is closer to a wall of aura than a gunfight: a wave of destruction that few opponents can survive, let alone dodge.

Double Machine Gun
His signature Nen ability. He fires countless aura bullets from the gun-barrel openings surgically built into his fingertips, treating both hands as twin machine guns that can sustain fire for as long as his Nen holds out.
Emission Nen
His natural Nen category, perfect for projectile combat. He detaches aura from his body and shoots it over long distances while keeping most of its destructive power intact — the foundation of Double Machine Gun.
Body Modification
His fingertips were surgically reshaped into barrels. This is a real physical modification, not a conjured one — a permanent commitment to his combat style that turns every finger into a permanent weapon.
Combat Discipline
Unlike some of the more chaotic members of the Troupe, Franklin fights with methodical precision. He chooses angles, suppresses targets, and adapts his fire rate — the discipline of a soldier rather than a berserker.
Notable battles
Franklin's most iconic role is during the Yorknew City arc, where the Phantom Troupe annihilates the Mafia's protection around the Underground Auction. There he is unleashed against waves of Mafia enforcers and hired Beast Hunters, and his Double Machine Gun turns entire corridors of armed men into smoke and silence in seconds. He also participated in the Troupe's later clash with the Chimera Ants that invaded Meteor City, alongside Feitan, Phinks, Shizuku, and Kalluto, providing ranged cover against officers that none of them could afford to fight carelessly. In nearly every Troupe operation, Franklin is the wall of fire that lets the rest of the team move — the member you send in when the order is "no survivors."
